Gymnastics Secret Revealed! – ‘Tips For Gymnastics Parents’ Email Course - Part 1 Murray Hughes “Tips For Gymnastics Parents” Email Course Brought to you by: Gymnastics Secrets Revealed! The Basics – The First Thing Every Gymnastics Parent Should Know Gymnastics is an opportunity to boost your child's self-confidence, get them physically fit, and instil discipline.  As a caring, concerned parent, you'll want to help out all you can.  You want your kid to feel the thrill of victory, learn the lessons of discipline, find new friends, and have a happy time doing it.

So what is involved here, besides the obvious outlay of money?  First, you'll want to have a basic understanding of what gymnastics is all about--what the various disciplines are and how your child can benefit from them.  Gymnastics for women differs from gymnastics for men, starting with the actual exercises themselves. Women's Gymnastics Exercises Balance beam:  The beam is 4"  (100mm) wide and 16' 4" (5000mm) long.  At competitions, the beam is 47" (1200mm) off the floor, although beginners and young girls practice at lower heights.  (You can find a more detailed description, including skills and strengths developed for each discipline in Gymnastics Secrets Revealed!)

Uneven parallel bars: Low Bar Height: 166cm+or-1cm (65"-65.75") (From bottom of rail to floor)  High Bar Height: 246cm+or-1cm (96.5"-97.25") (From bottom of rail to floor)  Spread: 130cm to 180cm+or-1cm (50.75"71.25") (From inside to inside of rails) (You can find a more detailed description, including skills and strengths developed for each discipline in Gymnastics Secrets Revealed!)
